From Now On is a goal-setting, agenda-planning, and coaching app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, how we protect it, and how you can delete it. We keep the data we collect to what the product needs to work for you. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How From Now On accesses and uses Google user data
From Now On lets you sign in with Google and optionally connect your Google Calendar. The sections below describe exactly what Google data we access, how we use it, whether we share it, how we store and protect it, and how it is retained and deleted. From Now On's use of Google user data is limited to the purposes described here.
1. Google data we access
We only request Google data when you choose to use the related feature.

2. How we use Google data
- Account identity. Your Google name, email, and picture identify your account and show who is signed in.
- One-way calendar sync. When you connect Google Calendar, From Now On writes your agenda items as events to the single calendar you select, and updates or removes those events when your agenda changes. Sync is one-way: from From Now On to Google.
- We do not read, import, or display your existing Google Calendar events inside From Now On. The read permission is used only to list your calendars for the calendar picker.
3. How we share Google data
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not transfer your Google Calendar data or Google profile to any third party, except to the limited service providers required to operate the core service (for example, our authentication and hosting providers), and only as needed to run the feature you used.
- Google user data is never sent to our AI providers. The AI features (the Coach and image-to-agenda extraction) operate on the content you create in From Now On — goals, agenda items, journal entries, and messages — not on your Google profile or Google Calendar data.
4. Limited Use
From Now On's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs (including Google Calendar data) to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the specific user-facing features described above.
5. Storing and protecting Google data
- Google Calendar access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest in our database.
- All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
- Sessions use secure, cookie-backed tokens, and access to stored data is limited to the systems and people that need it to operate the service.
6. Retaining and deleting Google data
- Disconnect at any time. Disconnecting Google Calendar in From Now On stops all syncing and deletes the stored Google access and refresh tokens.
- Delete your account. Deleting your account (Profile → Account) removes your stored Google tokens along with the rest of your account data.
- Revoke from Google. You can also revoke From Now On's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- We retain Google tokens only while your account is connected; we do not retain copies after disconnection or deletion.
What we collect
We try to collect only what the product needs to work for you.
- Account info — your email, name, and profile picture, provided when you sign in with Google, Apple, or email.
- Content you create — goals, milestones, agenda items, journal entries, and Coach conversations.
- Phone number — only if you choose to verify a number to receive SMS pushes.
- Billing details — if you subscribe on the web, Stripe handles your payment method; if you subscribe on iPhone, Apple handles payment. We store subscription IDs and plan status, not card numbers.
- Push notification token — only if you allow notifications in the mobile app, so we can deliver agenda reminders and review pushes.
- Usage & technical data — basic product analytics and error logs that help us keep the app reliable.
How we use it
- To run the core product: track your goals, schedule your agenda, and power the Coach.
- To send the reminders and pushes you turn on (push notifications, email, and/or SMS).
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To diagnose problems and improve the product.
How the Coach & image upload use your data
The Coach is powered by Anthropic (Claude). When you chat with the Coach, we send your message along with relevant context — your goals, a snapshot of your agenda, and previous turns in that conversation — so the Coach can give useful, specific guidance.
- Coach conversations are stored on your account so you can revisit them, and they automatically expire after about 90 days. You can delete any conversation immediately.
- Image upload (agenda extraction): when you upload a photo or screenshot, it is sent to Anthropic to read the text and pull out agenda items. The image is processed in memory and is not stored on our servers. Only the items you confirm get saved.
- We don't use your private content to show you ads or to sell to anyone.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers that make From Now On work. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers.

How long we keep things
- Google Calendar tokens: only while connected; removed on disconnect or account deletion.
- Coach conversations: about 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Guest agenda items: about 7 days if you never create an account.
- Goals, agenda, and journal entries: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
Your controls
- Disconnect Google Calendar to stop syncing and clear stored tokens, or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete a Coach conversation any time from the Coach screen.
- Turn off journal memory so journal entries are never used as Coach context.
- Stop SMS by toggling it off in Profile, or by replying
STOPto any message. - Turn off push notifications from Profile or your device notification settings.
- Delete your account from Profile → Account. This removes your goals, agenda, journal, Coach history, stored phone number, and Google tokens.
Security
Sessions use secure, cookie-backed tokens, connections are encrypted in transit, and sensitive credentials such as Google Calendar tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit who and what can access it.
Children
From Now On is built for adults and isn't directed at children. Please don't use it if you're under the age of majority where you live.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
